Known as the “Everest of diving” in the Galápagos, Gordon Rock is one of the most challenging and rewarding dive sites. This full‑day adventure is designed for experienced divers looking to encounter hammerhead sharks, Galápagos sharks, rays, sea lions, and a wide variety of pelagic species.

Itinerary
7:00 a.m. – Meeting at the Agency in Puerto Ayora
Meet your dive team at the agency in Puerto Ayora. Equipment check and safety briefing before departure. Punctuality is very important to avoid delays.
8:00 a.m. – Departure from Santa Cruz Dock
Board the dive boat at the dock and begin navigation toward Gordon Rock.
Morning – Arrival and Safety Briefing
Upon arrival at Gordon Rock, the dive guide will provide a detailed safety briefing covering currents, entry and exit techniques, communication signals, and the specific dive plan for the site.
Morning – First Dive (~45 minutes)
Begin your first dive, exploring the strong currents and observing hammerheads, rays, and reef sharks.
Mid‑morning – Surface Interval (~1 hour)
Relax onboard with snacks and refreshments while preparing for the second dive.
Late morning – Second Dive (~45 minutes)
Continue your exploration with another dive, often encountering large schools of fish, turtles, and sea lions.
Early afternoon – Return to Santa Cruz
Begin navigation back to Puerto Ayora, with lunch served onboard during the return trip.
1:30‑2:00 p.m. – Arrival at Puerto Ayora Dock
Disembark after an unforgettable advanced diving adventure at Gordon Rock.
Important Conditions
This tour is for advanced divers only (minimum Advanced Open Water certification required). Participants must have at least 20 logged dives and recent diving experience within the last 6 months. Times are approximate and may vary depending on sea conditions and safety considerations.
